🌴 Family Vacation to Pacitan, East Java – March 2025
Four Days, Three Nights of Sun, Sand, and Smiles
This March, we finally took a family road trip that had been on our bucket list for a while—Pacitan, a coastal town in East Java known for its natural beauty, hidden beaches, and peaceful vibes. With the kids and their friends along, we knew it was going to be a trip to remember.
🗓️ Day 1 – The Long Journey Begins
🚗 Jakarta → Pacitan
⏰ Departure: 4:00 AM | Arrival: 7:00 PM
We kicked off the trip bright and early at 4 in the morning from Jakarta. With bags packed, sleepy kids bundled up in blankets, and a cooler full of snacks, we hit the road. The journey was long—about 15 hours—but surprisingly smooth. We arrived in Pacitan at 7 PM, tired but excited. After checking in and having dinner, we got a good night’s rest to recharge for the days ahead.
💤 “Long drive, but the sea breeze at night was totally worth it.”
🗓️ Day 2 – Beach Hopping Begins!
📍 Soge Beach → Watu Bale → Pindakan Beach
Our first full day in Pacitan was all about exploring the coast. We started at Soge Beach, where the wind was gentle, the waves were calm, and the view was incredible. The long bridge and peaceful lagoon gave us the perfect backdrop for photos.
Next, we visited Watu Bale Beach, a more secluded spot with breathtaking cliff views and fewer crowds. The sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks was soothing—and the kind of peaceful that you don’t find in the city.
Then we wrapped up the day at Pindakan Beach, and this was where the kids really came alive. They ran up and down the shore with their friends, splashed in the water, played tag, and made sandcastles. The laughter was nonstop and totally contagious.
📸 “Pindakan = paradise for kids! Nonstop beach fun with their besties.”
🗓️ Day 3 – River Serenity and Iconic Sights
📍 Maron River → Klayar Beach → Watu Karang
Day 3 started with a calm, scenic boat ride along Maron River. Floating through still water surrounded by green trees felt like drifting through a hidden world. It was peaceful, and the kids were fascinated by the nature around them.
From there, we made our way to the famous Klayar Beach. Known for its sea fountain and “flute rock” that whistles when waves hit just right, it was a must-visit. We explored the beach, took photos, and just took it all in.
Our last stop of the day was Watu Karang, where huge rocks stand against the sea and waves crash with power. The scenery was stunning—and it was the perfect spot to just sit, breathe, and enjoy the raw beauty of nature.
🌊 “From rivers to rocks, today was a dream. Nature therapy at its finest.”
🗓️ Day 4 – Farewell Pacitan, Hello Jogjakarta
On the final day of our trip, we packed up early and made our way to Jogjakarta. Though we were sad to leave Pacitan, the kids were still buzzing from all the fun they had at the beach. The journey continued with more laughs and more stories to tell.
🧳 “Leaving the beach, but taking the memories with us. Next stop: Jogja!”
💬 Final Thoughts
Throughout the whole trip, the kids were absolutely thrilled—especially having their friends around to share every moment. Whether it was jumping in the waves, collecting shells, or just laughing in the sand, their joy made everything even more special.
This trip to Pacitan was exactly what we needed—a break from the routine, surrounded by nature, laughter, and unforgettable views.
